Motivation Monday Sometimes...

Motivation Monday Sometimes... Maybe everything happens for a reason. Could it be you havent found a job yet because the right one isnt available yet? Maybe you have to be so miserable in your current job for a reason.   Is there a greater life lesson you were meant to learn along your journey? Sometimes Stop the Blame Game It is often said you cant help someone until they are ready to help themselves. It is so easy to blame others: your company, your boss, your parents, your college, the economy or anyone other than ourselves.   When we can finally accept the fact that we can only change ourselves, then real change can occur. Are you done blaming others? Its No Fun Being the Victim A close cousin to blaming others is feeling like you are a victim of circumstance or that there is a conspiracy against you.   When you hear or see people with this attitude, they are not holding themselves accountable or responsible for their role in the situation. They are full of negative self-talk and unaware of how this impacts themselves and those around them.   Are you feeling like a victim of fate? The Grass Will ALWAYS Be Greener Sure, there are people who appear to have it all. You might be thinking about the 1%. Or your neighbor who drives a new car or just put in a pool or remodeled their kitchen or whatever. But honestly, money doesnt buy happiness. Money isnt really the solution at all.   And envying what others have wont get it for you.   What is it that will make YOU happy. What do you REALLY NEED (not want)? For more about this, you HAVE to go see Be Happy Then Succeed, my post about Shawn Achors research and his TEDx Talk. Grab the Bull By the Horns Stop waiting for a miracle or what you feel entitled to.   Make it happen. Take action and begin to pursue what you really need. And remember the wise words of Helen Keller, Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
